no Orb on 2007 hacker edition

I could not get orb to run on the os2007 hacker addition. Anyone have any luck getting it running on the 2007 os? And if so what settings are you using? Mine just hung in limbo and didn't play.

PS. I gave up and went back to 2006os but will be willing to try if someone got it working.

I have had similar issues. I have OS07HE and can get most things to work on Orb but the video just opens the video player and then acts like nothing happened.

Well at least I'm not alone. I hope they get this working with the next release because I loved the 2007he.

Yes, Orb video sharing is not working in OS2007HE due to missing codecs. There is real media support, but rtsp streaming is not working for some reason with the default player and mplayer doesn't support real media (and it won't). WMV support is removed in OS2007HE and mplayer doesn't support it well.

If you want to have video streaming from home on the go, use mediaserv's web interface or mediaserv's generated RSS with VideoCenter. I prefer VideoCenter myself. Quality is very good and the transcoded resolution is 400x240.

Orb Audio is working fine, i think.
