I see that DejaDesktop has a monthly fee of 10 $.

Does someone know a reliable and easy way to synchronize GPE with Outlook?

I dont know about syncing but you can try http://www.soonr.com it is pretty cool. I use it

The way i do it as i have a mda vario 2 windows mobile smart phone with outlook too is to first sync with google calendar. From there gcal has a ical feed that most pim calendars can pick up from. I now use gsyncit to sync outlook to gcal after trying and failing with several other sync tools.
