Added some RSS feeds to the 770's reader yesterday, and all was fine. Decided to add a few more, mainly Wii Fanboy (and the rest of the consoles).

Now when I do a refresh, it closes the RSS reader. If I try an unsubscribe from the feeds that it doesn't like (wii fanboy etc), it closes the reader. If I try and move them to another folder then try and delete the folder, it closes the rss reader

any guesses what I can do. I've gone back to using bloglines through the web browser for the time being.

oh well, despite trying to clear all entries, it's still crashing, so I've gone back to using faithful "bloglines" via Opera.

I had the same problem. I added a feed and then the RSS reader would crash whenever I tried to refresh it. Unsubscribing also made it crash.

I fixed the problem by using Xterminal to edit the feedlist.opml file, which stores a list of your subscribed feeds. After removing the line with the offending feed, wha la! problem fixed. :)

The feedlist.opml file is stored in a hidden directory in your /home/user directory called .osso_rss_feed_reader. I edited the file using the built in text editor, vi. I had no idea how to use vi, but a handy web site gave me the basic commands (http://www.cs.rit.edu/~cslab/vi.html)

Sounds like bug #1770 (https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1770) - if you still have details of the feed URL it would be worth updating the bug with a comment along with the URL so that Nokia can include it in their testing.

thanks for the replies.

I'll give it a go, but in the meantime I've been happy using bloglines via the webbrowser
