After editing some *.desktop files on my N9 (those that were created by the browser) I thought:
Maybe I could create a *.desktop-entry that contains a one-liner to launch the phone application with a specific phone number. This would somehow replace the contact-widgets I have on my Symbian/N900 desktops. I'd associate an icon that shows the person this entry stands for and would happily tap on my Mom's face in the application menu to call her.
The preferred action would be to bring up the phone application and wait for a last single tap for it to really dial the number stored in the desktop file.
Is this possible with Harmattan and all the security thingies in place? I only tried the DBUS method for dialling as documented in the Wiki for the N900, but they don't seem to work any longer.
Any ideas?
