View Full Version : can't log on to nokia account - no apps and no maps - problem!

just got my Finnish N9 delivered to Britain.

wonderful! truly an awesome device.

on the wifi fine, facebook and email fine.

nokia account...............no.

whether i use my username or email, and regardless of whether i change my password or not, it just fails to log in.

i can obviously log in fine via a desktop browser to check details and change passwords.

this is a problem, as not only does it knacker the app-store it knackers nokia services like maps and driving.

any ideas?

i have problem with maps\drive on n950 too
it tries to download http://static.maploader.maps.svc.ovi.com/map5/maploaderzip-00.00.00.00/catalog-00.00.00.00.xml and fail at this step
p.s. no problem with ovi account\store access

can confirm the reset works.

when reset is enabled the screen freezes with a circular arrow on it, and the led flashes intermittently.

don't worry, just leave it to it, takes about 15 minutes then switches off.

I had the same problem. To get around it, what I had personally done was change the email account that my Nokia account was associated to. This was done on the desktop.

Basically, I have email-account-1 and email-account-2. Nokia login was registered to email-account-1. Even though I could access it from anywhere else, the N9 still refused to log into this email account. I changed the email account on Nokia to email-account-2. I could now log in. I then set the email account back to the original email account.
