just wanted to mention my experience with the latest version of gizmo, in case someone else runs into the same problem:
I upgraded to 3.1.0.77 from the previous version, and it would not run. checking command line, it appears that some of the glade xml files in /usr/share/gizmo were making it barf... maybe upgrading did not overwrite them or remove unecessary ones?
uninstalled and made sure /usr/share/gizmo was completely gone, and then reinstalled. now it is working fine as before (better in fact -- the previous version would sometimes hang for a long time when I hung up a call, or when I closed the app)
