This is normal with most batteries measuring SW/algo. Nothing to worry about.

Don't be so concerned about the battery status percentage. It is an estimate from battery voltage anyway. I can get 100% charge but I know some users who can only get 96% or so.

Are you charging it overnight? If so, after being fully charged, charging is completely disabled until you dis- and reconnect the charger... Basically that means the longer you sleep, the lower your charged battery is in the morning.

It won't start charging again until the battery drops by a certain level which is more than a few percent.

You could just try to reset the device. A tip they gave me at the store was just to discharge it completely and recharge it completely without use and see if that calibrated the battery.

Its basically a displaybug and not a problem with the battery itself, if I understood Nokia correctly.

you could be right, just charged my phone and verified when charging was completed.. unplugged the phone and battery was 100%!

Should be charging again after 5%loss.. probably starts after 10%.. Actually the phone shouldn't lose it's power that much when it's in airplane mode overnight

Never managed to get to 100%, always at about 96%-98%, perhaps the MeeGo update will fix this...

Also, when charging / full charge I do not get an indicating light, it works though and flashes briefly only when I turn it on.

Do you guys reckon a full drain and recharge would correct this? I understand this is most likely a software bug as discussed from some other people on foreign forums but isn't it bad to drain a lithion battery?...

IIRC this was explained in konttorri's blog...
Can't remember the detail now....
IIRC he also said some twks relating to it are coming w/PR1.1.
But it will still essentially work the same way.

Out of interest how long is it taking people to charge their phones? I thought it was meant to be Quick charge? its taking mine over 2 hours probably closer to 3! My girlfriends iphone only take s about an hour by comparison!

You cant completely drain the battery, there are safeguards in place. When the phone says its empty, its not really empty.
