Android OS v2+ really sucks! Maemo5 the best!!

and I really claim for Maemo7 (based on Maemo5) Dang Nokia I don't see why you stopped that great OS development initiative.

... those all OS out there are frustrating if you ever used maemo5.
We need an slim n900 with new hardware, 2processors, better screen size and kind of it,keep the hw-kb, etc etc, etc, AND Support for updates.

That's what some are now claiming after discovering that they backed a lame horse. First it was 'MeeGo-Harmattan is MeeGo, compliant or not'. Now it's 'ah well, MeeGo-Harmattan is really Maemo6'. Of course, this has nothing to do with the fact that the meego.com lights will soon be switched off.

I'm agree with this topic : I have my N900 again and for me, Maemo 5 is the best mobile OS for ever! :p

On Maemo, you are FREE, you can do what you want, like on your computer!

The only bad side on Maemo 5 is the front camera, not available for cell conferences :mad:.

So, when you used Maemo 5 and you use after Windows Mobile, you have to joke on Nokia strategy! :rolleyes:

When you use Android, you have to joke to: the Androids updates are things that Maemo 5 do since 2009! :D

So actually, I eard some people tried to put Maemo 5 on iPhone, on HTC HD2 et Nokia N8 but I'm not sure it's real...

sooner or later, maemo, android, and the other phone OS will be history.
the future should sound like we, the users, want: buy whatever phone u want and install whatever operating system u want on it.
phone producers will have to provide u only the drivers.
the big fight will be on operating sistems, to provide the best support for it.

this is the way i see the things, and i don't know why nokia, samsung... and others don't see'it like this.
we want to be free, and in the end we will be.

Sure, android and ios and s60 then yes, but i wouldnt say that maemo is only a phone-os.
Most people who still stick to N900 does it because they need more than any phone-os can provide and since maemo is a desktop-os shoehorned into a phone, it is not only a phone but also can work as a replacement for a laptop, which no other modern phone os can do...
(Really old phone-oses like S80 and so, yes, but modern stuff, no )
