Maps on move and orientation in portrait mode

when it will be possible in Nokia n900 to use maps on the move for the directions
and is it possible to use n900 both in landscape and portrait mode ??

guess you are not going to like this, but never...there is however a community developed/supported solution which you should be able to search for using the search function...
