View Full Version : Are the N9's WIFI/WAP Speeds Throttled?
I just set up my router with dd wrt and my current download speeds are 30mbps on wifi. My friends Droid Razr Maxx on my WIFI saw 25mps. The N9's speeds are 1.79mbps. Does anyone have any idea how to free that up or if it's something we can fix.

no, its not throttled.
wget http://www.nic.funet.fi/pub/mirrors/cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/12.04/release/ubuntu-12.04-desktop-amd64+mac.iso gives me around 17mbps.

Check how your N9 connects? As in what security does you router use?
Check is your N9 is connecting using a security method thats high speed. Such as WPA2.
Its strange but sometimes things like this make a difference, Enable WPA2 Only mode on the internet connection setting on your N9.

Not throttled I think.
My internet speed (moden) is 16600 kb/s max, effective throughput is 12004 kbit/s. Both LAN & WiFi for: PC (LAN) and for Netbook & N9 (WiFi).
N9 on 3.5G is 14400 kb/s. Seems faster as I cannot detect any overhead.
