Not sure if this was posted already. Did a quick search and came up with nothing on the forum, so here it is.
from the forums of Gizmo N800 topic.

Make Video Calls using the Nokia N800 – Beta Release
We are excited to announce that we have added video calling functionality into the Gizmo Project client for the Nokia N800. Now you can see and talk to family, friends, and colleagues all over the world.
We have a beta version available for testing now, click here to (http://download.gizmoproject.com/jasmine/gtk-gizmo-4.0.0.82) try it out!
There are known issues that need to be resolved before we release this client publicly, here's a list of improvement/fixes we are currently working on:
* Limited testing has been done making calls between N800 and other Gizmo clients (i.e. Windows, Mac), we are continuing to make improvements in this area
* Video options haven't been added in yet
* Need to improve cpu usage (lowering it) without affecting video quality
* 'Hold' currently only holds audio .. needs to hold video as well.
We are going to continue improving video quality, graphics and usability over the next couple of weeks, before releasing publicly. So we would love to hear any feedback you may have.
Thank you,
The Gizmo Project Team

Like wow!!! This is soooooo kewl!!!!!...
....with one minor exception: VIDEO HAS NOT BEEN INCLUDED!
...go figure
way to go Gizmo... its rather pointless to make a beta available to test "video" and then not implement it.

All you have to do is make a call. You'll see the video window come up. Calls between the N800 and the latest PC beta appear to work fine for me.

didn't or hear you but that may have been because Giz on my end crashed.
the reason for that may have been because i also had SIP enabled (make SIP calls via GTalk... i think thats what that is). the first call you made also brought up the SIP call dialogue...
have since disabled that.

well tried again, no go.
guess in a couple of weeks like they promise, should have nice functional version available.
still get an A for adding the feature.
Hopefully it will be compatible with all the little features gizmo offer.
such as chats with msn, yahoo, and gtalk.

This is great news. I applaud the Gizmoproject team for their continuing efforts to improve their product. Over the past few months I have used Gizmo more frequently than Skype. This will put Gizmo over the top.

Could you please let us know from where you've downloaded your latest PC beta? I'm not able to find it on the Net :(
Thank you very much in advance!

Thanks but I was talking about PC releases, not the N800 release which I've already installed. I'm not able to find these PC beta releases on the link you've posted... unless I'm nearly blind

This beta is N800 specific only.
not available for the PC.
might want to check out project gizmo forum, and ask the dude who released it.
I tried logging on to the forum, but can't get in with my gizmo username and password.
And i can't seem to locate register for the forum.

I'm not 100% sure, but i don't think a PC version is available.
ask around on the Gizmo Project forum (N800 Thread).

This is quite strange IMHO, specially because Zerojay was mentioning latest PC beta at the beginning of this thread: video-call has worked fine for him between his N800 and a PC. And I can't imagine that Gizmo or any other organisation could start developping new features on N800 first, even if I like the idea ;-)

I had found this too, but even with a valid Gizmo account, the thread is not available :
The topic or post you requested does not exist
Note that there is also a "Gizmo 4.0 beta" forum available in the search form, but I'm not able to find it in the list of available forums on forums homepage...

a) The beta I downloaded was 4.0 on my wife's laptop (I don't use Windows).
b) I just tried it out two times between the laptop and N800. Both were able to send and receive video at the same time, though it was still somewhat glitchy. Understandable as it's a beta.
c) I uninstalled it from the laptop and removed the installer.
d) I can't get back into the same post anymore either. Actually, I can no longer login on their forums whatsoever. I'm not sure what the hell is going on here.
I'm going to raise a ticket about the login problem. I can't seem to login with my LJ login either. Very odd.
Okay, the forum doesn't normally need a login to post, however that post does require it as it's specifically for beta testers as far as I can tell. I must have been lucky and grabbed it before the post was locked down. Too bad the beta isn't on Jasmine. :/
Sorry guys. I wouldn't have gotten rid of it if I thought it would have been impossible to get after. :(

checked the site today and it seems like the project has been put on hold temporarily...
i dont understand why n800 to pc and vice versa video calling has not been implemented yet! this is a HUGE tool that would easily make this device more marketable.. especially for people on the go like most of us here!! it just boils me that I can't video call anyone who doesnt have an n800... geesh!!

Hi!
Am I wrong or some new files have been added to http://download.gizmoproject.com/jasmine/gtk-gizmo-3.1.0.77/? It looks like a release is available for a regular Linux box: anyone around having made some tests?

It would be an excellent service if the n800 would just offer up it's camera for Flash to use. You can see (and hear) the person on the other side very well. But on the n800 side the camera isn't availble for flash to use. The mic works but it's very choppy.

Unfortunately, it's not something Nokia has a choice over. You'll have to bug Adobe for that, as Flash doesn't recognize Linux webcams period.

Yep.. I've been looking for something (anything!) to let me do a video conversation from n800 to PC.
I'd pretty much given up on the Flash angle (especially now that I've read Zerojay's comment.)
I'd LOVE to see some way to do it. I don't care if it's Gizmo, some Nokia app, GTalk, etc. Personally I think it *would* be a real defining feature that would seperate the n800 from the competition.
But at this point Gizmo seems to have put things on hold with no further comments. (although they released a PC beta with video support). So I just check back on their site every couple days and hit this bugzilla thread where Nokia "promised" to post information on a solution when available:

The latest windows client is here: http://download.gizmoproject.com/jasmine/WinGizmo-4-0-0-310.exe, however for me only version 4-0-0-306 works with video from the N800, which you can download here: http://public.www.planetmirror.com/pub/majorgeeks/messaging/WinGizmo-4-0-0-306.exe.
You should also check http://download.gizmoproject.com/jasmine/ for any new releases.

Sorry, this is a bit late, but I've just tested this on my Nokia N800 with OS2008
Call was made from N800 to PC. PC video came over fine, but the video stream from the N800 came up pretty pixelated, even over my local WiFi network. This was tested with desktop PC and N800 using the same access point in the same room.
It works, but the video needs a bit of tweaking. I can test this with the N800 connected via HSDPA to my mobile network if anyone's keen to know how the video is going to turn up over the mobile data network.
