Thanks, this is great! I just overcame this problem on my own home network by setting up a upnp server with MediaTomb on my Fedora box this weekend, but this is even better. Keep 'em coming, Aisu!
Awesome! :)
The feedback is greatly appreciated ^^ I'll try to keep writing half-decent articles. I think I'll look into that server of yours, too!

Your articles are greatly appreciated. You've earned a permanent spot in my RSS feed list. MediaTomb is awesome and very simple to get up and running. My setup was done on Fedora 7, but there's a good set of instructions by an Ubuntu user here (http://www.freesoftwaremagazine.com/blogs/upnp_mediatomb_ps3_and_me). Obviously you can disregard the PS3 specific config.xml edit as it is not needed. Works just fine for N800 without it. Now if there were only some decent upnp software clients for Linux and Mac out there I'd be all set.
Ah! Thanks a lot! This looks great, I'll have to do some testing with it... I think I'll try to get it "Anywhere" too ;)
Hm... Clients for UPnP... That's something else to find...
