Hi all!

Is there a way to play Lemmings on the IT?
I've seen a DHTML version but it's too slow to be fun.

Maybe someone could port Pingus (http://pingus.seul.org/welcome.html). I'll have a look into the possibility of doing this, as I'm looking for a project to work on at the moment.

Hmm - looks like someone's already looked into it and come across significant obstacles:-

Hmmm, doesn't look good... It looks like i have to look out for a flash version of Lemmings then...

It looks tough, but not impossible. It's applications like this that I feel can really help the tablets (other than yucky business stuff), so I hope someone can tackle it...

True, an nes emulator would open access to a lot more games than just lemmings (also that is one hell of a game :) )

You can play lemmings under the dos (dosbox) emulator, amiga (uae) atarist (hatari).

If there's lemmings for nes or snes you can play that too. So that's 5 lemmings versions you can play.

I think they mean a playable lemmings, not something that takes ten years to load and then when loaded takes half an hour to move one step and 99.9% buggy.

Dosbox, FCEU, Hatari and UAE all start in less than ten years, and have framerates over 1/30 minutes and are less than 99.99% buggy.

@ArminS
Does FCEU actually work for you ? The last version was way too slow on my n800 and the current version ist fast but the onscreen buttons don't work right...

FCEU works ok on the 770 - a bit slow, and the sound is bibbery.

I heard about the N800 problems with the buttons. The maintainer (tak) doesn't have much time to look into this now, so we need someone else to volunteer to fix it.

So what would be the best emulator for the N800 to run Lemmings in a decent way? Although i'm originally from the Amiga front, i don't mind (anymore) to have an Atari (yuck) emulator on my N800 if that one plays Lemmings better.

pingus has recently been ported from clanlib to sdl. this might make a port to meamo easier.

Well give it a shot and let us know how it runs. I didn't get much feedback on it, so I never got around to optimizing, fixing the mouse position bug, hardware-accelerated graphic scaling etc.
