The n900 has no dpad? Maybe the Ui will be better usable without dpad.

Sounds very much like dead keys to me, but the only thing i can find about them and maemo, is that they aren't working.

What I hate about many mini clamshell devices, is that the border around the display is way to big. This looks so ugly, and is unused space.

Normally you should use the Initscript (for Debian based systems /etc/init.d/kdm start), but you should also be able, to start it via kdm.
(you need to be root)

Remeber that kdm tries to start...

I think he wants to set at startup which which enviroment to use, which is a nice idea because of the small amount of ram the Internet Tablets have.

I think he has KDM installed via debian...

Yes, this together with the orignal n800 cable should work. Then you have to switch to Hostmode manually.

If you want to switch automaticly to Host, you have to connect pin 4 and 5.

So we just have to do that(?):

-Take n800 usb cable
-Connect pin 4 and 5 on the part connected to the n8x0. (conductive lacquer?)
-buy female A to female A adapter
