Re: Aliendalvik Control - hide android navbar!

It would be nice if navbar was hidden by default and shown when the proximity sensor was covered!

Or even pressing that ugly back button just by covering the proximity sensor.

Thank you once...

Re: [0.8.15] Mitakuuluu - indie WhatsApp client for Sailfish - Support thread

I'd rather be banned than use the official client.

Re: Porting Sailfish to N9 (or other)

So if it's no possible to get aliendalvik working, it is probably a good idea to stop it and disable it. As root:

systemctl stop aliendalvik.service
systemctl disable aliendalvik.service

Re: Porting Sailfish to N9 (or other)

I followed this (http://www.who.is.free.fr/wiki/doku.php?id=n950club) and managed to boot into Sailfish and ssh to the phone, but now I got a bluescreen. The only thing working is a 'peek' that tells...

Re: Introducing ubiboot N9 (multiboot OS loader)

Re: Introducing ubiboot N9 (multiboot OS loader)

Hi,

First, thank you so much for this marvelous piece of software. It is not only functional, it is pretty and makes not only N9, but open source software in general look better.

I...

Re: Script for full N9's partitions diferential backup with btrfs and rsync

Well, if it is not difficult I guess it should be done. Not only btrfs has some options to enable optimizations in flash devices, it also allows filesystem compression which results in faster IO...

Re: [Stable!] FasterN9

You're right. Currently, FasterN9 works in incepted phones the same way as in closed-mode ones.

I'll make it work the same way as in open-mode when I have time.

Re: Script for full N9's partitions diferential backup with btrfs and rsync

Not trivial to explain that in English, sorry!
I would format the partitions in N9 as btrfs if I could, but that would require a kernel update. I don't even know if it is possible...

Re: [Stable!] FasterN9

Because the openmode version is allowed to use bigger IO tunning (with ionice), it is not required to change so much the CPU scheduling (in syspart.conf). So the applications do not lag even tough...

Script for full N9's partitions diferential backup with btrfs and rsync

I known not many people use btrfs (https://btrfs.wiki.kernel.org/index.php/Main_Page) as it is not totally stable yet, but I've been using it for a while and made a script to backup all my N9's...

Done. On a side note, I'm using an open-mode-only version of FasterN9 which does not need adding every app to the white list. But if I share with you guys, then you won't help me with the...

Re: [Stable!] FasterN9

This is almost right. FasterN9 just adjusts the filesytem cache size, which every linux have and which "drop cache" erases.

If the cache is cleared, every time you need to read a file (like...

Re: [Stable!] FasterN9

These commands won't affect FasterN9 (except the ones regarding to fastern9d)

No need to restart/refresh fastern9d, as it won't alloc memory dinamically. In fact, fastern9d will work better if let...
