Interesting! Found my video lead and the video output is rock solid.... so it may be the screen after all!
Any thoughts? (I'm not familiar on how the composite output is generated, but I guess...

Thanks Peter - I had seen that thread but it looked like a slightly different problem to be honest - or maybe worse. But then my machine is gettining worse all the time.

- wget -o outputs log info - you need wget -O
- dpkg -l | grep multiboot will detect if multiboot _had_ been installed but has been removed - use:
dpkg -l | grep "ii multiboot"...

So 100% of 60 seconds is 60 seconds, meaning that a 100% improvement would make it instantaneous - or at least fast enough that...

It's been a while, but can you not open the modem device, send "AT DT <number>" then wait for two "RING"s before sending a <CR> to end the call.

Command to force connect to a bluetooth device
My Sony/Ford car stereo does bluetooth. But it's a pain.
