Re: [ANNOUNCE] cuteTube-QML - A feature-rich YouTube client

You could also install tracker-cfg and change the locations the tracker indexes. The stock media player only "sees" those locations tracked by the tracker.

Re: [ANNOUNCE] Speed Patch + Battery Patch + Tweaks --> Everything Needed To Have A Perfect N900

@All

I think I read in the power kernel thread that if you have SmartReflex activated (don't remember if vdd1, vdd2 or both) the device will use an algorithm with its own frequencies, so it...

Re: surprisingly: WebOS is going open source

I remember something (maybe I'm wrong here) about Flash for the N900 and WebOS' flash. I don't really know if it's even possible.

Anyway, good news for open source communities.

Re: Adobe Flash Player 10: When will the update arrive? Is it coming at all?

No, you are not using flash 11. You will be able to use flash 9 engine generated contents but that were "marked" as flash 11 contents. I'm not sure about what I'm talking about, but I remember that...

Re: [ANNOUNCE] Speed Patch + Battery Patch + Tweaks --> Everything Needed To Have A Perfect N900

@ All of you people

I was not ok with the battery lasting I had been having. I think because I deinstalled and installed the batterypatch (KP version). So I checked "overclock" profile. i saw that...

Re: [NEW UPDATE FOR BATTERY PATCH] [ANNOUNCE] Speed Patch + Battery Patch + Tweaks ----> Every Thing You Need To Have Perfect N900

You are confused and confusing him. Batterypatch is the one with a non KP version. Speedpatch has only one version, nothing to do with Kernel Power...

I am right, right?

Re: [NEW UPDATE FOR BATTERY PATCH] [ANNOUNCE] Speed Patch + Battery Patch + Tweaks ----> Every Thing You Need To Have Perfect N900

I'm kind of sleepy, but I think that the "cgroup" thing has something to do with speedpatch, not batterypatch. It is also on repositories. Check it out.

Re: [NEW UPDATE FOR BATTERY PATCH] [ANNOUNCE] Speed Patch + Battery Patch + Tweaks ----> Every Thing You Need To Have Perfect N900

Maybe you could post here what did you do and what do you have installed right now. I mean if you installed previous batterypatch (scripts version, not the repositories or the ".deb" ones).
Do you...

Re: [NEW UPDATE FOR BATTERY PATCH] [ANNOUNCE] Speed Patch + Battery Patch + Tweaks ----> Every Thing You Need To Have Perfect N900

Could you describe one of your days of use of the N900 in one post? My curiousity has gone higher and higher while reading your posts.

I'm sure is not problem of your phone, either hardware or...

Re: Android versus maemo/meego

The differences are quite obvious.

I prefer Maemo, but I felt a lot of times frustrated because of the lack of officially supported apps. That's the main problem. The other problem has been the...

Virtual keyboards: which to choose?

I'm always switching from FastSMSEvo to stock virtual keyboard and then I definetely switch off Virtual Keyboard. I like the stock one, because of the capabilities, but the portrait layout is awful....

I've been to US until some days ago. I used the day pass, cause I was on vacation, but I think you would want a better and long term plan. The day pass it's quite good for people from outside the US....

Re: [ANNOUNCE] cuteTube-QML - A feature-rich YouTube client

Already tested. Conclusions: I made it! It works and it seems my translations were correct. Everything seems to be where it has to be. I couldn't test all the texts in cuteTube, but what I could...

Re: [ANNOUNCE] cuteTube-QML - A feature-rich YouTube client

Thanks marxian! I expect file is allright, as well as translation. So there it is Spanish (Espaņol) translation.

If nobody tests it nor generates the QM I'll see if I have time to test it at home.

Re: [ANNOUNCE] Speed Patch + Battery Patch + Tweaks ----> Every Thing You Need To Have Perfect N900

Battery patch is working again for me. There's a huge difference without it than with it. Firstly I thought that the last change karam made had something wrong. Of course, it was more probable that I...

Re: [ANNOUNCE] Speed Patch + Battery Patch + Tweaks ----> Every Thing You Need To Have Perfect N900

Re: [ANNOUNCE] Speed Patch + Battery Patch + Tweaks ----> Every Thing You Need To Have Perfect N900

Probably it's stuck at a value for vfs_cache_pressure of 10. I had that problem today. Just to be sure, type this on x-terminal (xterm):
cat /proc/sys/vm/vfs_cache_pressure
It should show a value...

Re: [ANNOUNCE] Speed Patch + Tweaks To Speed UP N900 Dramatically + Battery Improvements (NEW EFFECTIVE TWEAK)

Corduro, that configuration is quite weird, don't you think? You set de MIN frequency to 125, but you avoid it then, and it is not in the active frequencies list.
Second, why did you set up that 60...

Re: [ANNOUNCE] Speed Patch + Tweaks To Speed UP N900 Dramatically + Battery Improvements (NEW EFFECTIVE TWEAK)

That would be really cool, but it seems unreachable. Maybe we could conclude in some instructions to be personalized, where one could replace the text "HIGH_VOLTAGE_PROFILE" with the best...

Re: [ANNOUNCE] Speed Patch + Tweaks To Speed UP N900 Dramatically + Battery Improvements (NEW EFFECTIVE TWEAK)

Allright. If I understood what you said, it's better to select a different a higher voltage profile for some tasks and turn to lower voltages to use others. That's what I used to do (with QBW), I...

Re: [ANNOUNCE] Speed Patch + Tweaks To Speed UP N900 Dramatically + Battery Improvements (NEW EFFECTIVE TWEAK)

Thanks Karam. So, do you suggest returning "ideal" profile to the original one (not tweaking except for SmartReflex and powersavebias=20)?
And now that we are on topic, is there any way to know...

Re: [ANNOUNCE] Speed Patch + Tweaks To Speed UP N900 Dramatically + Battery Improvements (NEW EFFECTIVE TWEAK)

In my case, yesterday night I posted here my first impressions. I was at 80% at 11pm, or so (allright, my device, not me ;) ).
I posted via Opera Mobile on the N900. It dropped to 77% or so in 10...

Re: [ANNOUNCE] Speed Patch + Tweaks To Speed UP N900 Dramatically + Battery Improvements (NEW EFFECTIVE TWEAK)

Re: [ANNOUNCE] Speed Patch + Tweaks To Speed UP N900 Dramatically + Battery Improvements (NEW EFFECTIVE TWEAK)

Probably you are not in the same directory as the file. Be sure that the file is in MyDocs and instead run this:
cp /home/user/MyDocs/install-battery.sh.txt /home/user/install-battery.sh.

I'm...
