Q: Where is the update? How can I get it?
There have been two updates this week. You need to install the first to get the second. The first is called PR1.0.1 (or maemo5 44-1 in your App Manager)....

You need skype credit for making calls to regular phones - I believe that skype to skype calls are free.
The bug with missing country numbers was that all numbers needed the +<country code> before...

In xterm type
ls -ald .comix
And you should expect something like
