are you crazy? lol it does have some missing features *portrait mode* but it's still one of the best device i ever used/owned....

and the more i'm using it the more i like it each day

So, from the sound of it, your N900 is fully booted (not just in "charging mode") and the screen is locked. If you use the unlock slider above the headphone jack, the LED should go dark for a minute...

It may be that you would need to charge your device as many times they leave with just enough juice from the factory to boot -but not always.

There should be a note within your Quick Start...
