Some parts of it is N900 deja vu.
e.g. I deleted the default MP3 music files it had in /MyDocs/Music/. Then copied my own mp3 files. It saw my new ones but still thinks that it had the original...

That's the issue. What do you switch to if your N900 bites the dust / you finally would like to upgrade to today's hardware? Pre 3? N9? I would even miss those details like the notification LED... :(
