Actually, we didn't. We are using old kernel, 2.6.35 compiled specifically for N900 (AFAIK by kubuntu-mobile team and they don't have time now). And when I've tried compiling it myself it didn't boot...

I would not recommend trying to charge anything via charge21.sh with USB plugged to computer. AFAIK, charge21 tries to pull more "juice" that regular USB ports allow (500 mA). At best, operating...

Yes. It's also packaged ( i2c-tools ). The binaries will be put to /usr/sbin, so you have to modify the path in the scripts

Maybe booting from microsd, but the kernel can be recompiled to support this. Also, newer udev versions require new kernel versions. 2.6.28 is too old. In my opinion, using old software for Kubuntu...

Ok, here is the new version of the script. Not polished and there are some problems with Ubuntu Core but it works. Feel free to discuss and fix any bugs :)
Didn't test it (focused on Core this time)...
