Installed the PdaNet onto the phone, not the NIT. After re-booting the phone, re-pairing the N810 and the 6800 /w PdaNet, I was able to set up a DUN connection.

It doesn't need windows software...

No problem, glad that gconf stuff helped :)

(Otherwise that would have been annoying for me as it took me 15 mins to pair my phone and take the screenies and the gconftool -a dump etc :P :)

PAN != DUN

The N810 only supports DUN out of the box. I believe I remember postings about a PAN (driver?), but I seem to also recall that it was CPU hungry, ergo not too usable ... but search...

IIRC, Trancend doesn't produce the flash chips, or probably any interface chips, they just assemble parts from other manufacturers and put their name on it. With all the volatility in the flash...
