Switch automatically to 3g only when browsing.
I was thinking, since on my n95's battery last significantly longer in 2g mode, what if the n900 would default to 2g when there is no browser, internet radio or other network intensive application...

Nokia isn't *pushing* Maemo 6; they are putting the product out there early enough so that developers can get on the ball towards (a) learning Qt, and (b) seeing what is possible and catching bugs...

Indeed, I didn't. But that's, as I wrote, because it's *REALLY* hard to judge such things based on an early proto. As others wrote, battery life is usually THE LAST thing to optimize, after eveything...
