Re: How many of you still use N900 as main phone?

Well I'm 12 years older (as is my eyesight) and that means so is the N900 and its a little impractical for me to use for my job, but it still works, I get it out and use it sometimes and I still...

Re: Neo900 - finally a successor of N900

Yes I agree. €1000 euros for a device is a lot, and I want to support it, but when you have devices coming out with 4gb memory and 10 cores with access to a large app library, its hard to justify to...

Re: N900 best phone I've ever had!

Although I dont have my N900 anymore, I miss it. There were functions on it I havent seen on any other device. Not only that but radio sensitivity was superb - it would get a signal in places that...

Just exercising my "right" = "Freedom of Speech".

Re: Finally selling my N900...

I think we should have a rules review in the For Sale section.

Discussion should be limited to people interested in buying it and not criticising the sellers price etc etc.

I think its shocking...

Re: N900 generally slow and unresponsive

My N900 is fast (compared to a 1.4ghz Android phone), but every device, user, their installed apps and the pattern of usage is different.

Some devices respond well to speedpatch, some dont and...

Re: What phone are you going to get after the N900 ??

Well I have tried other devices.

In terms of apps and mod-a-bility Android is a winner. I bought an Acer Liquid Metal. Great device, overclocked to 1400mhz and its really rapid, faster than the...

Re: partially or broken pakages (dpkg: parse error, in file `/var/lib/.....)

mc is midnight commander. If you haven't got it, install it. Then because you need root privileges you have to run it in X Terminal.

Every file that has a .bin extension in that folder I mentioned.

Re: [ANNOUNCE] Speed Patch + Battery Patch + Tweaks --> Everything Needed To Have A Perfect N900

Yep well impressed with it, mine stays on all the time - albeit silent at night - I get 2 days and thats without any battery patches or voltage saving stuff.

Usually mine goes on charge every...

Re: [ANNOUNCE] Speed Patch + Battery Patch + Tweaks --> Everything Needed To Have A Perfect N900

This is all I did:

root
apt-get install speedpatch

Just for the record I didnt install the battery patch as I am overclocking, neither did I enable VDD1/2.

Patches are great, but nothing...

Re: Nokia E7 vs N900 - Hands-on

Couldnt agree more. What we have in terms of an OS needs to be improved on, not replaced.

I'm not against an E7 if it was running Maemo though
