Thanks JonWW for the wonderful reply. I went to the Authorised Nokia Care Centre near my place. In India, there is no concept of online status or tracking. We have to personally go to the Nokia Care...

Yes. Now taking everything into consideration, I can understand that N900 does support both Data and Cellular together. But I am surprised that this works in Kollam (Kerala) and not in Bangalore...

Here is what you can do:

1. First reset the "Device Lock" code to 1234 from Menu > Settings > Device Lock
2. Flash your N900's FIASCO/rootfs image from here...
