Re: Mysterious part belongs to N900?

Good to hear, yeah it seems to work without it for the time being. I think I'll have a go at gluing it and seeing how that works though.

Re: Mysterious part belongs to N900?

Appreciate the illustration, thank you very much. Yep, seems to be a clip that provides (minor) resistance and stability to the kickstand. Actually I remember seeing that part before but couldn't...

Re: Mysterious part belongs to N900?

Huh, extra support of the kickstand, you sure? If so, do you how it's mounted inside the camera/phone cover? I took a look at the back (both sides) but found no place where it would fit.

Mysterious part belongs to N900?

Hey there,

Does anyone know if the part in the attached images is suppose to be part of the N900? Found it on the floor next to a table where my N900 was at the time, but I'm not sure if it came...

Re: [Announce] Pierogi - a universal infrared remote control app

For some reason the dropdown input switcher is not working for me anymore, I noticed. The button next to "Change input to:", that would normally show the list of inputs, is blank and nothing happens...

Re: [Announce] CSSU Testing thread

Good to know, but would've been even better to know a few pages back so that I'd went with apt-get upgrade instead. Luckily my system seems to have survived the ordeal ;-)

By the way, on the...

Re: [Announce] CSSU Testing thread

After getting the update installed, I can't confirm the behaviour you're getting, everything seems to work as normal. Most likely it's due to incorrect file attributes/ownership set for the MyDocs...

Re: [Announce] CSSU Testing thread

Precisely, same thing here. I've never needed to reflash the device and have since I got it in mid 2010 made so many changes, e.g. installed a plethora of packages (in some cases, as for gcc & co. ,...

Re: [Announce] CSSU Testing thread

(As I'm sure you know) libc6-dev is a package used in C development, containing essential libs and header files. Why do I have it installed? Because I do occationally develop in C on-device. I...

Re: [Announce] CSSU Testing thread

A lovely christmas gift indeed. :) Quite a lot of items in the changelog as well.

Unfortunately, for me, updating via HAM is not possible due to dependancy problems (as usual, just the generic...

Re: [Announce] Pierogi - a universal infrared remote control app

Very good work! Just tried the 1.1.40 build and the new state-of-the-art "Antenna"/TV button, and it seems to working correctly :D So, at least on my Viera, it now is possible to switch to every...

Re: [Announce] Pierogi - a universal infrared remote control app

Yeah you're right, I was dumb in my previous post ;) It would essentially just be a non-visible torch, and arrays of IR diodes (maybe even > 1 W total) is of course used in night-vision applications...

Re: [Announce] Pierogi - a universal infrared remote control app

Hmm, it's weird that it doesn't work quite as good for chill's device. I actually only have both of the HDMI ports occupied at the moment, and I'm still able to switch to all inputs -- including...

Re: [Announce] Pierogi - a universal infrared remote control app

Yep, definately better to take it slow and adjusting it bit by bit.

Indeed, left/right from "Menu" switches between "regular" and S-Video perfectly. And, yes, the "Input" button (i.e. "AV" on my...

Re: [Announce] Pierogi - a universal infrared remote control app

I also have a Panasonic Viera TV, in my case model number TH-42PZ8ES. FYI, it has 2 x HDMI, 2 x SCART (AV1 & AV2 of which AV2 supports S-Video), 1 x Composite & 1 x S-Video on the front panel (both...

Re: [Announce] Enhanced BusyBox package

Yep, or if you would like to disable wordwrap: export MANPAGER='less -S'

For me the page width is too wide (by approx. 5 characters) for the current font size, and have to disable wordwrap to not...

Re: [Announce] TxPad - Text/Code Editor

It capitalizes all letters a-z and the swedish letters (едц).

I tried it again now, and it does actually print lower case letters if I hold Shift while typing. So something is going on with the...
