Well, I'm not a typical end user and I've been watching this (fail) all along and haven't seen a single thing opened via this process. If you have anything solid you can point to, I'd love to see it....

So, in sum, Nokia created a ruse of the "open source licensing queue". People spent good hours wasting their time jumping through nokia hoops (not just in this), and in the end:

Has a single N900 component been opened since the N900 launch? It seems there have been plenty of games to play, but in the end, nothing has been opened.

Ah ya, makes sense. Hmm. I thought I had it working, but honestly don't use it myself. With a "regular" computer you can alt-drag to move windows. Somehow, I've done that in the past with Maemo, but...

Get the i386 flasher-3.5 and install the i386 glibc alongside your x86_64 one. I run flasher-3.5 i386 on my Fedora 12 x86_64 system fine.

The Debian Etch rebuilt for Maemo 5 repo has been maemo-optified with the latest version 0.3 from git. This hopefully fixes problems related to plugins and such[1].
