If you want to simulate your location you can just easily create a timer that will call the same callback as with liblocation "changed" signal.
Then just pass your own fake coordinates to this...

accelometer, cameras, gsm, gps and bluetooth are all pretty much unusable in SDK.

Low-level wifi access is probably also pretty hard to simulate but AFAIRecall the IcD (Internet connection Daemon)...

You are basically correct, however, I have seen software apps that have code that simulates the actual gps receiver and is able to display a simulated track.
