Please refer to the N900 RescueOS (http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=75369) which basically has the same functionality and more. The charging initrd is dead.

hildon-desktop starts right after the Nokia hands logo, or whatever you have in its place,...

Still, power button works only in some rare cases and after latest updates I can't even get to a single terminal to test ofono.
Now I'm trying to boot into stable 11.04. BTW, do not use the scripts...

aren't you searching for the _stock_ sound files on the n900? i think the stock ones are not ogg but .aac and .wav which should work on the n8 without tweaks (not sure though). are the files you are...

For things like notifications, it's way too light, for the news feed, it might push CPU to 70% for 5 secs on each update.

I massively improved the next version, right now, I'm deleting all items...
