If you know about an PCB with this parametrs, with dimensions optimal for N900 case, and with as awesome community as Openmoko has, let us know. :P

However you can hope, that GTA05 will be N900...

That's a possible alternative, though we plan to sell complete devices ready to use, as well. If you already have a N900 you want to butcher for recycling the case, screen, digitizer, auxiliary stuff...

It will use original N900 touchscreen and display. You won't notice any difference before you power it up. And even after powering it up you should hardly be able to tell a difference between N900...

This is not a joke! :) I think it's the best way to combine potential of those two communities. Open Phoenux, coming from Openmoko, showed that it's possible to create and sell new, working device...

That's exactly the point of this project :) To adapt GTA04 to use N900 casing and screen instead of Openmoko ones.

change xtubeQuality=mobile to xtubeQuality=hq

This works for me.

If you go that way, remove only the red wire (+Vcc = power).
The black wire (GND = 0V = ground) is required for the signal pins to work.

I implemented the SMS registration (and the phone automatically captures the SMS you don't need to type the code manually) and I tested using it scripts in a web server (so I don't hammer Whatsapp...
