With a standard cable/adaptator, you need to switch manually, with an "OTG" cable, you just need to plug, and the N810 will switch automatically. At least that what I understood. Go to ebay, and look...

It's maybe a stupid question, but what can you do with a N97 that you can't do with a N810? (except the phone functions obviously).
The N97 unlocked must be around 700 USD, while you can by a N810...

Typical 770's bug. Opera crashed while downloading a file and corrupt the "download.dat"
