Before this, it sounded really similar to the problem i just had with my phone. the screenprotector (1 year old exilim foil) caused exactly the same behaviour as you discribed.

I tried this, but n900-fmrx-enabler depends on the package "libqtm-multimedia" and this one depends on "qtm-maemo-metapackage" which is not listed in the appmanager.
How can I remove fmrx-enabler?

@mornage, after pressing CTRL*SHIFT*R (not the blue key, the shift key) you have to close the keyboard and turn the device vertically and wait a second. you have to repeat this steps at every restart...
