Regarding N9's, my experience is that rev. 1603's are among the most rugged version; no electromechanical problems and they are most reliable to boot with any OS.

This script is buggy. Just experienced a sensor crash. As a result:
sensors.qcom processes was still active and ate about 0% of CPU
sensorfwd process was not running
I tweaked the script...

Well, to be honest, very similar here! My N9 refused to work yesterday after I tried installing nfs support with the whole bunch of unresolved dependencies. I actually emailed Joerg right away...
