Re: One Click Voicemail access icon

A trick with this would be getting users to enter their voicemail number as a proper international dialing code so they can still pick up voice mail when travelling internationally.

Re: Half-year review of Stskeeps's work as distmaster

Agreed on both points.

As an example, the contents of the post on the port to the OMAP2 http://omappedia.org/wiki/Maemo_Getting_Started is good, with interesting work behind it. It would be...

Re: Dbus & phone profile question...

With qwerty12's start, I was also able to list what profiles were defined, and put this into the wiki at http://wiki.maemo.org/Phone_control#Profiles.

I am wondering what happens if I add a...

Re: Instant Search on N900

True, but you've implicitly assumed a much more complicated application. Rather than run a periodic sweep that simply scans files for strings, you have to first see that something has been changed...

Re: anonymous phonecalls gets replaced by contact

It doesn't happen to me, mine stays as "unknown number".

Two thoughts:
1) Behaviour may be network specific. I am on 3, in the UK.
2) Check the contact that is being given. If that contact...

So you're not just wanting an app that gives an improved UI for accessing those internet picture albums, but automatic local caching as well...

Re: Desktop Command Execution Widget scripts

You want edit /etc/sudoers, and add an appropriate line. Be careful, this is the file that makes "sudo gainroot" and a lot of other things work.

Re: SIM Card Registration Failed for No Rational Reason

I think you've already figured it out: random flakiness. Random flakiness at two or three different points, with a bit of caching, explains it nicely. The SIM failure with the SIM in the N900 can...

Re: For what purpose was this Poll put on the official Blog?

It's not. It's just that all this work was done for the N97 before you ever saw it, so that it looked easy.

Yes, Nokia could have done this all off-camera for the N900 as well, but they didn't. ...

Re: N900's Email is a Joke - Thunderbird on the N900???

Re: N900's Email is a Joke - Thunderbird on the N900???

Re: Who's still around and interested in N800/N810?

Re: [Maemo 5] MaePad (Maemopad+ for fremantle)

Re: I'll Say It Again: The Media Player Stinks
