discovered it works fine with wep disabled. No enc is not really an option, may have to setup mac filtering somehow.

I have the exact same situation, tried the different 'start' 'stop' 'select connection' combinations to no avail.
Running power 46, and receiving the same dbus proxy issue.

And unless neopwn pulls out some magic from a hat, packet injection is unsuccessful on the n900 currently. So you would not be able to 'crack' some wep, or send de'auth packets for wap.
