Re: [HowTo Workaround] Multiple Identities in Modest

Hey, you are welcome. Though it is bewildering that modest doesn't have multiple identities yet!

Sgs2

Waiting for my SGS2, which will result in the retirement of my n900.

I'll miss the keyboard, and the convenience of linux out of the box but it is time to upgrade.

So have any of the other...

Re: Internal error ... Application Closed. How to fix?

I have found this to be caused by a corrupt auto-complete dictionary.

You can confirm by turing off autocomplete in settings/text input.

if you have the same problem you can fix by turning...

Re: Uninstall/re-install default RSS feed reader

There is probably no need to attempt a reinstall.

The first thing to try is to clear out the folder the rss reader uses for storage:

~/.osso_rss_feed_reader

First, take a copy of...

Yeah it looks like s2a is getting triggered not only by call events but also by availability events. I have seen 'subscribe', 'publish' and 'Buddies'

Re: The Epic Android Thread

I personally cannot wait for the day we finally turn our backs on IR as a remote control method.

Yes, it is cheap, and flexible enough for most needs. But the line-of-sight requirement is just...

Re: No VNC on T-mobile UK

What do you mean by port forwarding? Do you mean on your router/firewall at home, or over ssh?

If the former, you could try the latter - if you can run an ssh server at home, then you can put...

Re: [Help] Widgets are Now Invisible

Yes, it sounds like the same problem. In my case it was an issue with the RSS widget. I worked it out by removing the invisble widgets and adding them back one by one.

Once the rss widget was...

Re: [HowTo Workaround] Multiple Identities in Modest

Is this approach still the best option, given the progress being made with modest?

I have been using it for several months now with only the occasional glitch, but it would be great to switch to...

Re: Archos Generation 9 Rumors

I am guessing it must be something like this. Just slide the module in. They are talking disruptive, so the swappable part seems very likely. I can't imagine it could have an external antenna or...

Re: Archos Generation 9 Rumors

I am just glad confirmation bias is so effective.

A usb 3g modem can be obtained for $20US, so I imagine the unit cost of the 3G module itself is far lower. So it adds an insignificant cost or...

Re: N900 RSS reader

Your best bet is to delete the config folder:

/home/user/.osso_rss_feeds_reader

In this folder is feeds.opml which you can keep as it only contains the list of feeds.
