So, I finally got a chance to take a look at the behavior in my car, and drum roll... N9 shows up as a MirrorLink device, and the 'Car Mode' apps show up on the touchscreen in the car, but attempting...

I wasn't aware of this thread before I had a car with MirrorLink support, but now I'm trying to find the app for the N9...

So, quick update... I haven't had any rapid connect/disconnect issues since I toggled the bluetooth visibility 'off' on the N9, and the N9 has been completely reliable with my carkit since.

sweet, just realized that pyRadio 4.7 on my n810 still worked, and my n900 was stuck at 4.1, until I (temporarily) enabled extras-devel, and bumped pyRadio to 4.7 on the n900 too.

Quick comments about the volume discussion on the n810...
I think the system media player let's you adjust 'PCM' volume, which is different than the master volume, and there's also a way to adjust...
