I'm not sure if it's a problem of the CSSU, but my device does not open the e-mail directly when clicking on the blinking icon in the left upper corner.
It just shows up when opening the mail client...

There won't be a difference because the cpu will run at max speed the most time.
Your phone will just be a bit snappier (and drains a bit more battery) if you use 500-1550Mhz instead of 250-1150.

Ah ok. Didn't know the black plastic theme also changes this kind of icons.
