Check that the tiny magnet hasn't come off the inside of the back cover, this is what normaly happens.

If you don't know where to look, does the camera work? or in XTerm typelshal -mand open the...

To format mmc on device:


root
umount /dev/mmcblk1p1
mkfs.vfat /dev/mmcblk1p1

Then reinsert SD.

This WILL delete all data on your card!
