Re: Gary Birkett (aka lcuk) RIP

Thoughts and prayers (from those here who pray) go to Tracy and the boys this morning. The funeral is at 10:30am, and that will be extremely tough.

Gary's family have sorted details of the funeral. It will be on Thursday of this week, the 22nd, at 10:30 at Oldham Crematorium. If there is anyone near enough to represent us, that would be great....

Re: Gary Birkett (aka lcuk) RIP

Hopefully by Monday...

Re: Gary Birkett (aka lcuk) RIP

Re: Gary Birkett (aka lcuk) RIP

Thank you. I'll look at arranging something if the council want. Or supporting one of them to do it.

Edit: I now have the address for the Funeral director. If people want to send cards, they can...

Re: Gary Birkett (aka lcuk) RIP

You people are quick. Yes, Tracy says that the account is in her namje, but linked to Gary's bank account. That will, of course, be frozen until his estate is all tied up and settled.

I do have...

Gary Birkett (aka lcuk) RIP

Hi all,

It is with sadness that I have to report that I heard from Gary's wife today that he died last night. I don't have much by way of details.

Gary was important to me in my connections to...

Re: Let's talk Nokia stock!

Oh I'm around. Just seldom feel I have much to contribute. But I don't miss much.

And whatever else you say about them, neither of those two is remotely Qt.

Re: [Council] Maemo Community Council Q1 2011 nominations are now open

Nominations need to be made to the mailing list. If you aren't already a member of the list and for whatever reason don't want to be, perhaps a list member could make those nominations for your...

Re: Elop said N9 is a 2011 event. It's 2011! Where is it?

I had no problem installing codecs in MeeGo netbook, I just added the relevent repos. Yes, the broadcom drivers were a pain, but MeeGo 1.1 is not intended as a release candidate, so there hasn't been...

Re: [Maemo 5] Request: find sex application

Female, Reverend, and hanging out with both Maemo and MeeGo crowds. Though I get the impression there's a slightly better gender balance in MeeGo. And still looking for a bug fix for MeeGo #440. ;)

Re: When N9 comes out will you still use maemo.org?

I'm going to point the council to this thread, as the long term future of the community here is definitely something we have to think about, and people's opinions are very important.

I think it's...
