I had something like this, until I removed Catorise. I don't need Catorise with the new PR1.2 re-arrangeable menu anyway.

It does appear that certain apps are causing problems.

Brainparty was one of the apps I removed before it started working for me. :)

It varies, so there are possibly other factors in play.

Mine refused to work with 54MB free and eventually worked with 58MB free.

There is a wiki page on freeing rootfs space - one useful tip...

The standard Digital Nature theme is a winner!

I'm currently using the Grafitti theme for a change and it's pretty sweet. I'm less keen on some of the app icons but I guess I could get rid of them...

I read on Vodafone's own forum (back in March I think) that their own warranty would be voided. That doesn't mean that Nokia's warranty would be and of course it could be outdated information.

I've created a script to make both the N900 and the SD card read only before connecting to an untrusted system, and a further script to undo the changes....

I had to read up on how to use the find command, piping and redirecting... still new to this Linux game. :) What I did...

I've been having the same problems: running "tracker-processes -r" (as root) used to reset the database and force a re-scan. Somewhere along the line, it stopped working.
