1000 is the absolute minimum to order anything or open up assembly line, it's still too small but it's manageable. Normally the minimum amount is 3000 to 5000.

It shouldn't be too bad actually, NFC works quite differently to bluetooth after all.
BT is difficult because of what controls the device, SailfishOS uses Bluez4/5 and Android uses Bluedroid and...
