My experience with android:

Whenever I start Angry Birds or Newsy videos or any other app, the "daemons" (if one can call the so) from "Battery Spy" and "Quick System Info" shut down completely...

Flip backcover + pen... and the bulky of n900 is kinda difficult to miss...

IIRC this popup is that the n900 is recognizing it with the wrong plugin used to something else. You have to go to
/etc/bluetooth
and edit the file
main.conf
and make your DisablePlugins line...
