Re: Gary Birkett RIP

Having only interacted with him via these forums, and limited at best, it is sad to learn of his passing. It is generally a skeleton crew that keeps communities like these alive, that contribute to...

Re: [Announce] The One Ring

After updating to 1.3 I can't get Google Voice Plugin to connect. I am given a network error... although everything else seems to work. Any help on this would be great, as I have been using the...

Re: LogMeIn on Fremantle

I have written another note to the LogMeIn "labs" people, and asked again if there was going to be a newly compiled installer for the N900. Should any of you feel inclined, perhaps you could do that...

Re: Spotted, other N900 users....

I am in San Luis Obispo, CA and mine is the only one I have seen. Being at a software company I was sure they would be more prevalent, but everyone seems to be on the Android kick, lots of HTC's --...

Re: Hints and Tips for Using the N900 Camera

Note that when you take the picture, don't bother to "lift" your finger (as with some cameras) just hold it down as the picture is being taken... this will reduce the shake, and make for sharper...

Anyyone actively porting Denemo for N900?

I used Denemo on the N800, but found not having a keyboard annoying since it seemed to be quite shortcut optimized and the menus would fill the entire screen. That said, now I am using an N900 and...

Re: How sturdy is the USB port?

Zerojay also had this issue, and he indicated that it was after 3 months of careful use (pre-release version). For whatever reason, this issue has been sitting in my mind. On a work trip, for...

Re: Low battery alerts

Bratag, one of the nice things about a forum like this is learning what people may or may not know... sometimes that comes out in a question.... but sometimes in the answers others give. Perhaps,...

Re: Moderators

I will volunteer myself as a moderator for Multimedia, if it is felt one/another is needed there.

A quick edit and retraction, as I don't seem to fit some of the criteria. Well, if one is needed...

Re: Sync with Google

Ok, I needed to update this last thread. I tried the settings, and things worked OK, but for me the mail was the bigger issue. In the end I set up and used email.nokia.com and it works quite well. ...

Re: Can the N900 stream live radio to car stereo while driving at high speed?

I can stream radio through my E63 (edge) moving along the backroads of San Luis Obispo (where coverage is spotty at best) and it works just fine. I don't think the cell towers are going to have much...

Re: Laser Etching on N900 Backplate?

Well, for a uniqueness factor, etch the area behind the screen, so when you drop the keyboard down, there is your etching. I think that area is aluminum. Would be good if someone took it, too. You...

Re: Nokia N900 RX-51 New Tablet/Smart Phone Pictures And Specification - Revealed

That is the temp of your processor. That will change when it updates... Mine seems to hover around 29C, or if you go F will be like 83 or something.

Re: SSU 5.2008.43-7 is available

Are there people who still don't see this as an "update"? I have yet to get the notification (in North America). This happened to me last time, too. Argh. I really don't want to reflash.

Re: ANNOUNCE: Easy Debian Turbo-Charged Edition!

I got the same issues, but just have not had time to write up on it yet... so it seems to be reproducible. I guess I feel less an idiot, but sad that it didn't work for you, either.
