yes, sadly both maemo.org and garage.maemo.org are down and most likely will remain like that for now. As it has been explained to me these websites depend on older cms technology that is unlikely...

For me - the best colour would be full Transparent.
Protypes are often made transparent, to sse inside, if all mechanical parts are on the correct place.
