I reinstalled the rtcom messaging package apt-get install --reinstall rtcom-messaging-ui and also installing MyContacts from Crochik seems to have fix it for now.

Two possible solutions:

First:
Try resetting the rtcom settings (https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11456#c15)). In an xterm type:
rm -rf /home/user/.mozilla/rtcom
