the one in my n900 is from debian packages anyway
it can be solved by

apt-get install libssl0.9.8
ln -s /usr/lib/libssl.so.0.9.8...

Power47 is working excelllent with bleeding edge driver and there's no need to reinstall anything. Just run load.sh as you normally would and the driver gets injected.
No patched kernel or anything...

Is there anything in the syslog from just before what you just posted? From the first line it appears that mce told dsme to shutdown and the rest of the log you posted is the process of shutting down.
