Btw, MeeScan fails to install on N950 due to missing libdmtx0. One can get it easily by changing the official N950 repo to the N9 one (001) and running

apt-get update
apt-get install libdmtx0

Recently I've played with hildon-desktop. What is the result? Almost fully functional portrait mode :)
