Well my housing still holds up, and with the cover I dare to hope that it continues to do. :)

Goes without saying that you will need to grab Service Exchange Unit firmware 34.0.A.1.264 to downgrade to Android 6.0.1 if you intend using DirtyCow exploit to backup DRM prior to unlocking...

What helps for me in this case is the terminal and then:
killall messaging-ui

Then go into your messages, wait about 30 seconds and it reloads the messages.

Its a awfull bug and i once deleted...
