Because metasploit and a lot of other security hack tools contain dangerous exploitative code which the antivirus programmers thought you should not have so they add the signature. It's stupid but...

Guys it's a problem with one of the libraries, try this:
root
mkdir /usr/share/doc/libtelepathy-qt4-1
dpkg --configure -a
apt-get update
Your app manager should work fine now :)

If yes, try to reinstall itsudo gainroot

Reaver does not work well with macchanger..
You can check with wireshark that even with random mac address generated by macchanger..reaver will reveal [our] true mac...
